New for 2020 Seniors: Four $1,500 Scholarships are Offered by Coastal Bend Crime Stoppers
to four seniors who plan to go into law enforcement or a related field
to the son/daughter/grandchild of an active/retired Texas Commissioned Peace Officer!
As of Now, the New Deadline to mail your application is Friday May 1, 2020!
Our board will vote on the recipients at our May 7th meeting.
If the virus isolation continues we may extend the deadline again, please stay tuned! If necessary, we will adjust our requirements in regards to what may happen in the next few weeks!

- If you are quarantined because of the virus and unable to mail your application by the May 1st date, contact Cathey Brown at 361 319-1564 to get permission to email it.
- If you have not received permission your emailed application will be not be considered.
Coastal Bend Crime Stoppers offers three scholarships, one to a senior in each of our three counties (Bee, Goliad, and Live Oak).
A fourth scholarship will be offered to a senior in Bee County in the memory of the late Sheriff Carlos Carrizales, Jr. sponsored by the Bee County Sheriff Office and family of the late sheriff (Bee County senior requirement)
You must meet the requirements above : To apply you must plan to go into law enforcement or a related field OR be the son/daughter/grandchild of an active/retired Texas Commissioned Peace Officer!

Payment of Award: (with new totals)
1. One half of the scholarship ($750) will be awarded in the fall and one half ($750) will be awarded in the spring. Payments will be made directly to the school.
2. The student needs to email (firstname.lastname@example.org) his/her school ID number, name of the university/college along with its scholarship office contact information to email@example.com. We will send the scholarship funds. If you have any questions, please call Cathey Brown at 361 319-1564.
Coastal Bend Crime Stoppers (CBCS) will offer three (3) $1,500 scholarship ($750) per semester) to a senior in Bee, Goliad, and Live Oak County who plans to major in a law enforcement field OR is a son/daughter or grandchild to a Texas Commissioned Peace Officer, and qualifies for the scholarship.
A fourth scholarship for $1,500 ($750 a semester) will be offered through CBCS by the Bee County Sheriff's Office in the memory of Sheriff Carlos Carrizales, Jr. to a Bee County senior who plans to major in a law enforcement field OR is a son/daughter or grandchild of a Texas Commissioned Peace Officer, and qualifies for the scholarship.
