About our Program

Bee County Crime Stoppers, Inc. was organized in 2006 as a certified Crime Stoppers program by Texas Crime Stoppers, and a 501 (c)(3) organization. In 2011 Bee County Crime Stoppers expanded to include Goliad and Live Oak Counties, and was renamed Coastal Bend Crime Stoppers, Inc.   In 2011 we received our new Articles of Incorporation from the Texas Secretary of State and a name change for our 501 (c)(3)  from the IRS.   Coastal Bend Crime Stoppers was certified by the Texas Crime Stoppers Advisory Board in October 2015, and is up for Continued Certification in October 2017.

Our Board of Directors are all volunteers who are dedicated to making a difference in our county community by working with the news media, law enforcement, and public to help law enforcement agencies solve crimes.

We are available to speak to civic organizations, churches, and any other organizations to inform the public of the services we offer. Contact Info: email: coastalbendcs@gmail.com or  call Cathey Brown at 361 319-1564, or our Law Enforcement Coordinator, Mike Showalter at 597-0206.

Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 210 E. Corpus Christi St. (old library) at 6:00 PM.  Visitors and prospective volunteers are welcomed to attend.
